Midland Valley is 9-1 against Airport since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Midland Valley Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Airport Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Midland Valley and seven for Airport.

On Tuesday, Midland Valley had to suffer through a 61-30 loss at the hands of Brookland-Cayce. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Airport ended up a good deal behind South Aiken on Tuesday and lost 61-44. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Thoroughbreds 12-8 in the first quarter.

Airport's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Midland Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Midland Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Airport when the teams last played on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midland Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
