Basketball Game Preview: Vance Charter Knights vs. Discovery Charter School Trailblazers

Vance Charter is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Discovery Charter School Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Vance Charter was able to grind out a solid victory over Franklin Academy, taking the game 47-37. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

Alyssa Bullock had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a triple-double with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. Bullock is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Adanna Aniekwensi, who went 6-for-9 on her way to 13 points.

Vance Charter was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Discovery Charter School strolled past Oxford Prep with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 46-29.

Discovery Charter School now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Vance Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
