Soccer Game Preview: Cooper City vs. Flanagan

The Cooper City Cowboys will challenge the Flanagan Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cooper City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Everglades with a sharp 9-1 win. Michelle Rosen was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Flanagan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Titans onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Titans are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cooper City is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 38 goals over those seven games. As for Flanagan, their win bumped their record up to 11-6-1.
