Volleyball Recap: Putnam County Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Putnam County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Crawford County Eagles on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the War Eagles of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Putnam County was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 26-24.

Coincidentally, Putnam County and Crawford County will both be playing Northeast the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
