Basketball Game Preview: Millikan Rams vs. Sierra Canyon Trailblazers

The Millikan Rams will head out on the road to take on the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Millikan's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Millikan will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Woodrow Wilson, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Millikan came out on top against Woodrow Wilson by a score of 66-57 on Thursday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Bruins are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Millikan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tariq Bridges, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 17 points and five assists. Bridges' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Wicker, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

Meanwhile, Sierra Canyon made easy work of Coronado on Saturday and carried off a 78-58 victory. The Trailblazers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Millikan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Sierra Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
