Baseball Recap: Commerce Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nowata, Commerce was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Okemah Panthers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 3rd.

Commerce is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Okemah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-26.

Commerce wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Fairview on the 7th. As for Okemah, they have also already played their next matchup, a 17-0 loss against Calera on the 7th.
