Volleyball Recap: Shelton Has No Trouble Against Kingdom Collegiate Academy

Shelton won the last time they faced Kingdom Collegiate Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chargers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Kingdom Collegiate Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

While Shelton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Kingdom Collegiate Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Karrington Reece had 18 assists and seven digs. Those 18 assists set a new season-high mark for Reece.

Shelton's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kingdom Collegiate Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Shelton will venture away from home to square off against Grace Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingdom Collegiate Academy, they will host Trinity Leadership at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
