Baseball Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Grizzlies vs. Ridgevue Warhawks

The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies will take on the Ridgevue Warhawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Rocky Mountain nor Ridgevue posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Rocky Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Owyhee, who was ranked first at the time (Rocky Mountain was ranked eighth). The Grizzlies took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Storm on Friday. The Grizzlies haven't had much luck with the Storm recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Ridgevue's offense. They fell 5-0 to Owyhee on Thursday. The Warhawks' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Ridgevue got a good showing from Preston Wade, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Wade has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ridgevue saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dante Brinegar, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Rocky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Ridgevue, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1.
