Softball Game Preview: Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats vs. Weimar Wildcats

Bloomington hasn't had much luck against Weimar recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bobcats/Lady Cats will head out to square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Bloomington has given up an average of 19.7 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bloomington is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 26th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Schulenburg, falling 24-0.

Meanwhile, Weimar earned an 8-4 win over Flatonia on Monday.

Weimar is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Bloomington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Bloomington might still be hurting after the 19-0 loss they got from Weimar in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Bobcats/Lady Cats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
