Soccer Recap: Denver Academy Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Denver Academy was not quite STEM School Highlands Ranch's equal in the second half on Thursday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 5-1. Denver Academy were not able to make up for their loss to STEM School Highlands Ranch from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Denver Academy's goal came courtesy of Rhys Goodwillie, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Denver Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Denver Academy will take on Twin Peaks Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on September 5. As for STEM School Highlands Ranch, they will challenge DSST: Cedar at 4:30 p.m. on September 5.
