Basketball Game Preview: Payton College Prep Grizzlies vs. Dyett Eagles

The Payton College Prep Grizzlies will head out on the road to take on the Dyett Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Payton College Prep ended up a good deal behind Perspectives Leadership/Technology and lost 56-41.

Meanwhile, Dyett entered their tilt with Bogan on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Bengals 56-40. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Bengals are ranked 429th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dyett's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Payton College Prep, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.
