Volleyball Recap: Hastings Tigers vs. Northwest Vikings
Hastings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Northwest Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-5, 25-16.
Breianna Campbell paced Hastings' offense, picking up four kills. Campbell got some help from
Lily Sorgenfrei and her six assists.
Jacey Knapp was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more digs the last four times she's played.
Hastings' loss dropped their record down to 2-29. As for Northwest, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 26-8.
Hastings does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against McCook on the 30th.
