Baseball Recap: 21st Century Charter Comes Up Short

21st Century Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-5 to the South Bend Washington Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-3 on Saturday.

Deshon Tanner was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

21st Century Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for South Bend Washington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. 21st Century Charter will square off against Boone Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Bend Washington, they will face off against Plymouth at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
