Brookfield Central entered their tilt with Lakeside Lutheran on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They escaped with a win against the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 65-64.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wes Rahn, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. Rahn's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Dwyer, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 18 points and five boards.

Brookfield Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
