Soccer Game Preview: Parkview vs. Greenbrier

The Parkview Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Greenbrier Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Parkview has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight losses, while Greenbrier will come in with five straight victories.

Parkview fell victim to Little Rock Christian Academy and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They lost 9-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Parkview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Little Rock Christian Academy are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Greenbrier kept a clean sheet against Vilonia on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. Two seems to be a good number for Greenbrier as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Greenbrier pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matches. As for Parkview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
