Volleyball Recap: Conestoga Takes a Loss

Conestoga extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-17. They lost 3-0 to the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

As for Bayard Rustin, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The game was the first time they have beaten Conestoga on their court since September 12, 2018.

Leading Bayard Rustin to victory were Mady Parkinson and Addison Kupiec. Parkinson had ten digs and two assists, while Kupiec had three digs. Avery Stromberg also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Conestoga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Harriton on the 13th. As for Bayard Rustin, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Great Valley on the 13th.
