Recap: Theodore Bobcats vs. Saraland Spartans
The Theodore Bobcats had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against Saraland as Theodore made off with a 50-30 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Theodore has posted against Saraland since December 19, 2019.
It was another big night for Jazmyn Bigham, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Parklyn Floyd was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elle Roberts, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Braley Weaver, who scored nine points.
Theodore's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Saraland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Theodore will take on Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Baker is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. Saraland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blount at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Blount is ranked 124th, while Saraland is ranked 148th).
