Recap: Ballou Knights vs. Jackson-Reed Tigers
This season hasn't been kind to the Ballou Knights, who are still winless after their fourth game. They had to suffer through a rough 63-16 loss at the hands of Jackson-Reed. Ballou has not had much luck with Jackson-Reed recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Aminyah Muhammed continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jackson-Reed, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Muhammed. The team also got some help courtesy of Kryslynn Stewart, who scored eight points along with eight steals.
Ballou bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Jackson-Reed, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballou will take on Anacostia at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jackson-Reed, they will be playing at home against School Without Walls at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
