Softball Recap: Illinois Valley Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Illinois Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Glendale Pirates on Friday as they made off with a 15-9 win. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Illinois Valley pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.4 runs. As for Glendale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Illinois Valley will face off against Bonanza at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Antlers at the right time seeing as the Antlers are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Glendale, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against North Douglas on the 19th.
