Basketball Game Preview: First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders vs. Burns Sci-Tech Eagles

The First Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders are headed away from home for the first time to challenge the Burns Sci-Tech Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, First Baptist Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-49 to Warner Christian Academy. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Burns Sci-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-57 heartbreaker at the hands of First Baptist Christian Academy. One positive for the Eagles, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

First Baptist Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Burns Sci-Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

First Baptist Christian Academy skirted past Burns Sci-Tech 59-57 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Baptist Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
