Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cesar Chavez). Everything went their way against the South Mountain Jaguars on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Champions in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won nine in a row.

Mariah Flores was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, one triple, and one run. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Esmeralda White, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

Cesar Chavez always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in six consecutive contests.

Cesar Chavez's victory bumped their record up to 2-12. As for South Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Cesar Chavez will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Mountain: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
