Softball Recap: Rosholt Falls to Tri-County in First Game of Season

Rosholt kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 17-6 to the Tri-County Penguins. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Penguins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Gracie Flees made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Kaylee Filtz was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Rosholt is taking a road trip to take on Three Lakes/Phelps at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tri-County, they will take on Port Edwards at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
