Basketball Recap: Dora Piles Up the Points Against Oak Grove

Dora's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Oak Grove Tigers 55-18. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Dora was led to victory by Bella Reese and Ja'Laya Harris. Reese posted 17 points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds, while Harris put up 18 points and four steals. The contest was Reese's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Millicent Wilson was another key player, putting up six points along with six boards and five steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Dora was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Dora is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Oak Grove, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Dora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Grove, they will head out on the road to take on Fairfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Oak Grove is facing Fairfield at the right time seeing as Fairfield is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
