Watertown has gone 9-1 against Yankton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Watertown sitting on seven straight victories and Yankton on four.
Watertown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Aberdeen Central, who was ranked 17th at the time (Watertown was ranked tenth). The Arrows walked away with a 3-1 win over the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.
Watertown walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 22-25, 26-24, 25-23.

Watertown can attribute much of their success to Andi Olson, who had 29 digs, and Hensley Hogue, who had 12 digs and four aces. Olson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.
Meanwhile, Yankton was able to grind out a solid win over Tea on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.
The final score came out to 25-14, 20-25, 25-17, 25-10.
Watertown better focus on containing Brenna Elwood and Jordyn Kudera as the pair were huge in Yankton's win. Elwood had 24 assists and four aces, while Kudera had 15 digs. That's the most digs Kudera has posted over her last three matches.
Watertown's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Yankton, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
Everything went Watertown's way against Yankton in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Watertown made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Arrows repeat their success, or do the Bucks/Gazelles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
