Recap: Calvary Day School Cougars vs. Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans

The Calvary Day School Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 82-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wesleyan Christian Academy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (70), Calvary Day School still had to take the loss.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Calvert, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Jordan Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Calvary Day School has not been sharp recently as the team has lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. As for Wesleyan Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-11.

Calvary Day School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-55 defeat vs. Forsyth Country Day on the 9th. Wesleyan Christian Academy has also already played their next game, a 64-51 win against North Raleigh Christian Academy on the 8th.
