Volleyball Recap: Grafton Extends Winning Streak to Four

Grafton came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Drayton/Valley-Edinburg Titans with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Grafton walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-14.

Grafton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma LeClerc, who had ten digs and one assist. LeClerc is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 19-12-2. As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Grafton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg on the 28th. As for Drayton/Valley-Edinburg, after both having extra time off, they and Midway/Minto will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
