Basketball Recap: Prairie Central Comes Up Short

Prairie Central was the 57-41 winner over Eureka when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Prairie Central Hawks fell 54-43 to the Eureka Hornets on Friday.

Prairie Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Eureka, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-13.

Prairie Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-47 defeat against Beecher on the 15th. As for Eureka, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lexington at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Eureka has won seven straight at home, while Lexington won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
