Catholic had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They managed a 70-66 win over the Wheatley Wildcats. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Louisiana, while the Wildcats are ranked 203rd in Texas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Wheatley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

Catholic will be taking part in a tournament against Walker at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Walker likes a good challenge. As for Wheatley, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wheatley Wildcats duke it out with the Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
