Basketball Recap: New Haven Comes Up Short

New Haven was the 50-37 winner over Lake Shore when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The New Haven Rockets took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Shore Shorians on Tuesday. The Rockets just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Lake Shore's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jason Pruitt Ii led the charge by putting up 24 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Max Minor, who posted 16 points.

New Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Lake Shore, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

New Haven wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-46 victory against Lakeview on the 23rd. As for Lake Shore, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-51 loss against St. Clair on the 23rd.
