Richfield extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 5-10. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Juab Wasps. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wasps this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-9 on Tuesday.

Kelby Rickenbach was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Max Albrecht and Porter Brower did some serious damage despite the final result: Albrecht went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Brower went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Ethan Butler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
As for Juab, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.
On Juab's side, not much got past Luke Marostica, who gave up just four hits to keep Richfield off the board.
At the plate, Trevin Park and Rhett Richards did most of the damage at the plate: Park went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Richards went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Park has become a key player for Juab: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-11 otherwise.
While Richfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
