Baseball Recap: Tintic Falls to Wayne in First Game of Season

Tintic had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wayne Badgers. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Badgers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Gavin Bratt was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelan Bigler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Tintic and Wayne will both be playing Piute the next time they take the field. The Badgers will host the Thunderbirds at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Miners will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
