It was a good run, but the Southmont Mounties unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 57-42 bruising from Frankfort. Southmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vince Reimondo, who scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Hess, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Frankfort was led to victory by Alex Farley and Kye Kirby. Farley scored 20 points along with two steals, while Kirby scored 28 points along with three steals. Kirby hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Edwin Wainscott, who scored three points.
Southmont's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Frankfort, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
Southmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Frankfort will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Delphi Community at 7:30 p.m. on February 23rd. Delphi Community has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
