Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roger Bacon). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Aiken Falcons a 27-0 shutout on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Kenzie Schwartz was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Schwartz was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those runs were her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ally Hughes, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ella Schlegel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Roger Bacon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
