League recap: Christ Presbyterian Academy extends winning streak with victory over Cascade

AA District 12 recap November 5, 2013

Christ Presbyterian Academy added to the longest winning streak in AA District 12 this week by beating Cascade, 35-13. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.

Christ Presbyterian Academy took down the Champions 35-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Zack Weatherly threw for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.

Zak Mizell threw for 273 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 18-31 with 1 interception.

Brandon Houston was the best running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 105 yards as Giles County defeated Spring Hill. Kenton Baker also contributed to the rushing game with 81 yards on the ground.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Thomas Richard. The Christ Presbyterian Academy star has 50 catches for 784 yards.

The Bobcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Marshall County. Baker ran for 81 yards and caught 4 passes for 64 yards during the win.
