Volleyball Recap: ThunderRidge Comes Up Short + How To Watch

ThunderRidge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Grizzlies of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While ThunderRidge was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-14, 25-15.

Kiera Ellmore paced ThunderRidge's offense, picking up eight kills. Ellmore got some help from Cambria Kelley and her eight assists.

Mountain Vista's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedy Schmidt, who had four digs and four aces. Schmidt has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last five times she's played. Sofia Posada was another key player, getting 14 digs.

ThunderRidge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Mountain Vista, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

ThunderRidge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Legend on the 7th. As for Mountain Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Rock Canyon on the 7th.
