Basketball Recap: North Harrison Shamrocks vs. Worth County Tigers

North Harrison lost against Worth County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North Harrison Shamrocks fell 52-44 to the Worth County Tigers. The Shamrocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Worth County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karson Briner, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance also gave Briner a new career-high in blocks (four). Another player making a difference was Cole Ruby, who posted ten points and seven assists.

North Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Worth County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, North Harrison and Albany will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. North Harrison is facing Albany at the right time seeing as Albany is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Worth County, they will square off against Rock Port at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Port will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Worth County surely won't give up without a fight.
