Soccer Recap: Battle Takes a Loss

Battle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Kirksville Tigers, falling 8-0. That's two games in a row now that Battle have lost by exactly eight goals.

Battle's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Kirksville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Battle will challenge Blue Springs South at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blue Springs South will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Battle surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kirksville, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 7-0 victory against Benton on the 17th.
