Softball Recap: West Sabine Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Sabine can now relate to. They fell just short of the Woden Eagles by a score of 8-6 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly two runs.

West Sabine saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was London Weatherspoon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

West Sabine has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-11-1 record this season. As for Woden, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-9.

West Sabine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woden, they will square off against Alto on Saturday. The Yellowjackets will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
