If Washburn wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Northwood/Solon Springs, they should've done a better job of containing Ian Woodhull. The Evergreens blew past the Castle Guards 44-8 on Friday thanks in part to Woodhull, who rushed for 113 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 106 rushing yards per game.

The victory got Northwood/Solon Springs back to even at 2-2. As for Washburn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northwood/Solon Springs is set to challenge their familiar foe South Shore at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Washburn will take on rival Bruce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
