Volleyball Recap: Glastonbury Wins High-Profile Matchup Against East Hartford

Glastonbury faced East Hartford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Guardians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hornets, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Guardians as they're now sitting on five straight.

Glastonbury wouldn't go down easily and took East Hartford into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-16, 15-13.

Leading Glastonbury to victory were Brady Parent and Trevor Hoffman. Parent had nine digs, while Hoffman had 13 kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Hoffman has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more kills the last four times he's played. Alex Niland also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.
