Softball Recap: Billingsley Bears vs. Maplesville Red Devils        
        
		
            
 Billingsley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell victim to a  tough 11-5 defeat at the hands of the Maplesville Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Billingsley of the  11-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March.
  Sadie Primm made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Caydin Hornady, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 On Maplesville's side,  Makenzie Williams was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kamylia Talley, who  went 2-for-5 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Billingsley's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Maplesville, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Billingsley will  take on Isabella at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Isabella: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Billingsley has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Maplesville, they are on the road again  on Thursday to play Jemison at 4:30  a.m.
