Basketball Game Preview: Elevation Prep Academy Honey Badgers vs. Oak Ridge Military Academy Eagles

The Elevation Prep Academy Honey Badgers will take on the Oak Ridge Military Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Elevation Prep Academy put up the most points they have all season on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 80-40 win over Gray Stone Day. The Honey Badgers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since February 16th (when they won 64-21).

Elevation Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kassim Cauley out in front who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Cauley now owns an excellent 47.2% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of STEPHEN SHAKO, who almost dropped a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Elevation Prep Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge Military Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out North Hills Christian 56-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Oak Ridge Military Academy has posted since January 9th.

The victory got Oak Ridge Military Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Elevation Prep Academy, their record now sits at 2-3.

Elevation Prep Academy lost to Oak Ridge Military Academy on the road by a decisive 95-76 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Honey Badgers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
