Basketball Recap: Henry Clay Comes Up Short

Henry Clay lost against Bryan Station back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Henry Clay Blue Devils were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Bryan Station Defenders. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Defenders are ranked fifth).

Henry Clay's loss dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Bryan Station, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-5.

The future could be bright for both Henry Clay and Bryan Station: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Henry Clay will try to hand Sayre their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Bryan Station will look to extend Grant County's five-game losing streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
