Basketball Recap: Cason Amerson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Corinth Christian Academy over Northside Christian Academy

Corinth Christian Academy fought the good fight in their overtime match against Northside Christian Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 75-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northside Christian Academy. The Warriors have struggled against Northside Christian Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cason Amerson, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Amerson has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Tolle, who had 15 points.

Corinth Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Northside Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Corinth Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 55-47 victory against First Christian on the 28th. Northside Christian Academy has also already played their next contest (against Gainesville Christian Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
