After a string of three wins, Fair Lawn's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 10-6 to the Wayne Valley Indians. The match marked the Cutters' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fair Lawn saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Showfety, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. That stolen base was Showfety's first of the season. Abby Watson was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Fair Lawn's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Wayne Valley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fair Lawn will take on Passaic County Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Wayne Valley, they will square off against Ramapo at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
