Struthers is a perfect 4-0 against Chaney since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to square off against the Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. Struthers has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight defeats, while Chaney will come in with three straight wins.

Beaver Local hit Struthers with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats lost 11-1 to the Beavers. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, Chaney had just enough and edged out McKinley 5-4 on Thursday. That's two games straight that the Cowboys have won by just one run.

The victory got Chaney back to even at 7-7. As for Struthers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Struthers took their win against Chaney in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
