Basketball Game Preview: Pretty Prairie Bulldogs vs. Bucklin Red Aces

The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs will take on the Bucklin Red Aces in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pretty Prairie's defense has only allowed 29.2 points per game this season, so Bucklin's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Pretty Prairie is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Flinthills just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 49-37 to the Mustangs. The loss was the Bulldogs' first of the season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ava Goering, who posted 13 points. Kayleigh Vogl was another key player, putting up four points along with eight boards and four blocks.

Even though they lost, Pretty Prairie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Bucklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Gray.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pretty Prairie fell to 3-1. As for Bucklin, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
