Baseball Recap: Tamalpais Wins Going Away Against Vintage

On Tuesday, the Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks made easy work of the Vintage Crushers and carried off a 12-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Tailed Hawks.

Jackson Van Til looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Tamalpais let Dara Zolfaghari and Henry Stoll run wild. Zolfaghari went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base, while Stoll scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Stoll a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Cooper Kift, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Tamalpais always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vintage only posted an OBP of .211.

Tamalpais' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Tamalpais didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Casa Grande on the 1st. As for Vintage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Pinole Valley on the 27th.
