Softball Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

Princeton easily dispatched Newman Central Catholic on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Princeton fell just short of Sherrard by a score of 5-3 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Princeton of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Princeton now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Sherrard, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Princeton has already played their next matchup, a 10-8 defeat against Morris on the 14th. As for Sherrard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-8 loss against Riverdale on the 14th.
