Soccer Recap: Eastwood Comes Up Short

Eastwood was the 1-1 winner over Franklin when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Eastwood Troopers fell just short of the Franklin Cougars by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday.

Eastwood's goal came courtesy of Diego Marquez, who's now up to five this season.

Eastwood has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. Franklin's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6.

Eastwood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Pebble Hills on the 28th. As for Franklin, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Socorro on the 28th.
